Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry, has received His Excellency Teodoro Ribera, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Chile, and the accompanying delegation at the Chamber tower in Abu Dhabi. Both sides discussed cooperation relations between businesses in Abu Dhabi and Chile.
His Excellency Mohamed Helal Al Mheiri, Director General of the Abu Dhabi Chamber; attended the meeting along with Mr. Abdullah Ghurair Al Qubaisi, Deputy Director General; and the Ambassador of Chile to the UAE. During the meeting, H.E. Ribera expressed his desire to increase cooperation relation with Abu Dhabi in all sectors; especially that Abu Dhabi is one of the best destinations for direct foreign investments and enjoys a strategic geographical location that connects the markets of the region.
For his part, H.E. Al Mahmoud expressed the Chamber’s readiness to provide all the support needed to strengthen trade and investment cooperation between businesses in Abu Dhabi and Chile considering the huge potentials of both countries. H.E. Mheiri, pointed out that the Chamber, works continuously with its partners to empower the private sector to be effective in the economy of the emirate, which goes in line with the vision of the wise leadership in presenting a pack of facilities and incentives to increase the role of the private sector in the comprehensive development of the emirate.
Both sides agreed to dedicate a Chilean Day in Abu Dhabi to promote for Chilean products, especially fruits and vegetables, which Chile is known for and is one of the most important exporters of fruits and vegetables in the region.
The Chilean Minister called on the Abu Dhabi Chamber to form a trade delegation to visit Chile and take a closer look at the available investment opportunities there. H.E. Al Mahmoud also called on the business community in Chile to visit Abu Dhabi and witness the great features and facilities the government offer for foreign investors.
