The Federation of the UAE Chambers of Commerce and Industry (UAE Chambers) has elected the Chairman of Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry Abdullah Mohamed Al Mazrouei as the Chairman of the Board, and the Chairman of Sharjah Chamber Abdullah Sultan Al Owais as the Deputy Chairman for the 2021-2024 term. This came during its 101st meeting at the headquarters of Dubai Chamber.
The Board Members of the UAE Chambers have expressed their utmost thanks and appreciation to the wise leadership for their continuous and unlimited support for the private sector, renewing the pledge to serve the country and the business community and to improve its place on the world economic map.
They reiterated that through positive initiatives based on entrepreneurship and innovation, businesses could contribute to empowering the position of the private sector and overcome the economic challenges while moving forward towards a more prosperous business environment filled with creativity, competitiveness and sustainability.
During the meeting, the Board Members also elected the members of the Executive Office of the Board. The new members included the new Chairman of the UAE Chambers and his Deputy; the Chairman of Ajman Chamber Abdullah bin Mohammed Al Muwaiji; the Chairman of RAK Chamber Mohamed Ali Musabbeh Al Nuaimi; and Board Member of Dubai Chamber Faisal Juma Khalfan Belhoul.
The BoD also discussed the preparations for of the UAE Chambers represented by Dubai Chamber as a key partner to the activities of businesses at EXPO 2020. Moreover, the BoD tackled the challenges of the businesses sector’s future markets.
Furthermore, the Board viewed Eshaar Platform, which was launched recently online on the Emirates Chambers’ websites to record any of the challenges facing some the business sectors in the UAE. They also viewed the World Trade Center’s project of exploring export opportunities.
