Virtual Exhibition

HE Mariam Mohammed Al Rumaithi, Chairwoman of the Executive Board of ADBWC jointly with the Arab Businesswomen Council, opened the virtual exhibition "First Choice" in its second edition through direct visual communication technologies.

Businesswomen Council of Abu Dhabi Chamber organised this event in light of the global pandemic of COVID-19, particularly under social distancing and to support the journey of businesswomen and entrepreneurs. Eleven businesswomen and entrepreneurs from the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain and Morocco attended the event which was reflective and successful at the level of the all Arab countries.

Due to the success of the first exhibition, the second virtual exhibition was held under the same title “First Choice” where 16 businesswomen and entrepreneurs from UAE, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain, Egypt, Syria and Lebanon were present.

HE Mariam Muhammad Al Rumeithi, Chairwoman of the Executive Board of ADBWC, HE Kheiriya Dashti, Secretary General of the Arab Businesswomen Council, members of Council’s Executive Authority, Dr. Shafeeqa Al Ameri, Executive Director of ADBWC along with a large number of entrepreneurs and community ladies from different Arab countries attended the event. 

In her welcoming remarks, HE Al Rumeithi thanked Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, Chairperson of General Women’s Union, Supreme Chairperson of the Family Development Foundation Chairperson of Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood (May God Protect her) for her continued and unlimited support for Emirati, Gulf and Arab women, and for promoting women’s economic empowerment. This inevitably enabled women to participate actively in supporting the overall and sustainable economic development in the Arab world. She also praised the leading role of the ADBWC and its great successes in various sectors within local and regional partnerships.  
HE Al Rumeithi stressed that since its emancipation, the success of ADBWC was due to the unlimited contribution and support of HH Sheikha Fatima who focuses on the Council providing support for businesswomen and entrepreneurs in various circumstances locally and regionally. She also reaffirmed that the Council continues to provide its distance services via different technologies.

She also added that the number of participants in the second exhibition rose by 45% more than that in the first one. It included various and excellent products where businesswomen and entrepreneurs from different Arab countries participated to market their businesses in various areas. The exhibition excelled in its products showroom where tribute was paid to the Arab women for their excellent business leadership and presence in promotional markets. 

She pointed out that the "First Option" exhibition, constitutes a special opportunity for women and the family in general, which would support the opportunities of marketing and virtual commercial exhibitions in the future through shopping and preparation for the requirements of various kinds of events. It will provide what they need within the areas of women interests, such as clothing, fashion and abayas, cosmetics and other women’s beauty centers, in addition to the participation of many well-known brands in the local, Gulf and Arab arena.

HE Al Rumeithi expressed her pleasure for organising the second edition of “First Choice” exhibition jointly with Arab Businesswomen Council chaired by HH Sheikha Dr. Hessa Saad Al Abdulla Al Sabah, established in 1999 and providing many initiatives to support and empower women in the Arb World. 

In her speech delivered on behalf of HH Sheikha Dr. Hessa Saad Al Abdulla Al Sabah, Chairwoman of Arab Businesswomen Council, 
HE Kheiriya Dashti, Secretary General of the Arab Businesswomen Council said, “We are delighted to back the second virtual exhibition “First Choice” organised by ADBWC where an elite of entrepreneurs participated. We wish them further success and thrive.” At the end of her speech, she added, “Your steps and consistent, your projects are leading and your giving is colossal.” 

Participants in virtual exhibition “First Choice” expressed their happiness and stressed the success of the organization. They also paid tribute to the importance of the exhibition in providing direct opportunities for women to promote and display their products before a large number of visitors during Coved-19, applying social distancing and taking precaution measures into consideration. They also stressed the importance of the Support of the ADBWC for creative businesswomen and entrepreneurs activities in the UAE, Arabian Gulf and the Arab world.
